I participated in the iWPS Grand Slam Wednesday night. After a couple of months of preliminary slams, this was the big night to pick our rep.

Clearly I've come down with something - mild, but annoying - so I was dragging going into the Grand Slam on Wednesday.  I was drained and had a temperature, but at that point reasonably okay.  I chalked it up to exhaustion from all of the driving and lack of sleep from the previous couple of days.

Last night's show was, in a word, money.

I had fun MCing ("Por que!!!!!!!") to the most packed room we've had at a Wednesday show yet.  People were sitting on the floor to see the show!  Lots of new faces in the open mic AND the audience, and it was great to see some old faces back.

Well, THAT was an incredible show! I've heard from some people that they didn't agree with how the slam was structured (still muddling through some of the fallout of that but done with it), but not even CLOSE to the number of people who loved the show exactly how it played out.
